Film Screening ‘Ga terug en haal het’, vrijdag november 3, 18:30

‘Ga terug en haal het’ takes the viewer on a journey with an omniscient guide through space and time, between Curaçao, the Netherlands and Suriname. In search of answers whether change happened, we visit everyday resistance fighters who share memories of their ancestors, and who also work in the present with the vision for a new inclusive social community.

Clarice Gargard is a Dutch journalist, writer and filmmaker of Liberian and American descent. Clarice has won several awards and has been nominated for her groundbreaking work combining journalism, art and social criticism, such as the Joke Smit Incentive Award, the Black Achievement Award and the Emma Goldman Snowball Award.
