Marcus is inspired to seek a closer relationship with his outspoken mother and oblivious father. He makes several attempts to reach them during their daily routine, looking for the right opportunity to have a needed but casual chat about his sexual-orientation and journey of self-identity. Eventually, he musters the courage and has a breakthrough. However things take a turn when his over-enthusiastic father takes his new relationship with his son to a whole other level…

What does it mean to be young, black and gay in today’s world? Guilliano is the founding father of The Kiki House of Angels, a vogue dance community in Rotterdam. Most of its members are young black gay men who experience racism and marginalization in everyday life. This filmic, poetic collage expresses their personal stories by combining verité scenes with vogue dance sequences, graphic interludes and intimate interviews.

Dutch and Papiamentu spoken, Dutch subtitles

A group of gay rights activists from the Dutch Caribbean islands visits the Amsterdam Gay Pride to raise awareness of the social nonacceptance of gays, lesbians and transgenders in their part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and their battle for equal rights.
