Landhuis Bloemhof are thrilled to announce our next exhibition featuring mixed media work by Babette de Waele, Martie Genger and Herman van Bergen, opening on Saturday August 10.

Babette de Waele, a Dutch artist based in CuraƧao, is celebrated for her vivid color palette and diverse use of techniques. Her work explores themes of everyday life, humanity and the environment, with a strong emphasis on social interactions and animal rights.

Martie Genger, known for her innovative (re)-use of materials and distinctive installation style, enforces Babette’s vibrant approach. Her installations are renowned for their unique textures, compositions and thought-provoking messages thus creating an engaging and immersive experience for viewers.

Herman van Bergen, well known for his master piece The Cathedral of Thorns, and also for his cherished calendars, is also adding a small contribution to this promising exhibition.

Landhuis Bloemhof

Landhuis Bloemhof is a cultural center dedicated to the memory of May Henriquez.
Contemporary visual artists are welcomed to exhibit their work in this historical mansion dating back to 1735.
And there is much more to explore on the seventeen acres of the estate, like the frozen in time sculpture studio of May Henriquez, the Ex Libris May-Max Library and our gift shop with colorful souvenirs, handcrafted jewelry and art books to mention just a few .

On the premises, in the gardens, you can also visit the bath house nestled between shady trees, the Labyrinth/Cathedral of Thorns, created by Herman van Bergen and the open air sculpture studio of Hortence Brouwn.
Stroll through the park and indulge in a cultural experience surrounded by history, contemporary art and nature.
