You are cordially invited to attend the Curaçao Cultural Landscape Project (CCLP) Open House on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 to 14:00. This event marks the end of the 2024 fieldwork season. During the Open House, visitors can learn more about the project, view archaeological findings, and engage with archaeologists and students.
The CCLP investigates significant archaeological sites on Curaçao to reconstruct the island’s ecological and cultural history. Earlier findings suggest that Curaçao has been inhabited for 5,700 years, 300 years earlier than previously thought.
The program includes short presentations by national and international experts; Prof. Christina Giovas (Simon Fraser University), Ms. Kathleen Settle (Stantec Consulting), Drs. Claudia Kraan (NAAM Foundation), Sophie Rabinow (University of Cambridge), Dr. S. Yoshi Maezumi (Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology), and Christine Conlan, will all share their recent discoveries and research methods.
The Open House will occur at Stichting NAAM, at Johan van Walbeeckplein 13. For more information, you contact us at (5999) 4621933 or email info@naam.cw. You can also follow us on social media for updates.
